Terms
Terms of use.
The agreement between you and us when you use Football Hub: the website, the app, and the iPhone and Mac apps. Every member accepts these terms in the app before using it. Version 1.3, updated 23 October 2026.
The short version
- Football Hub is a football research tool for people aged 18 or over. It is not a bookmaker and never takes bets or holds money.
- The analyst, the AI assistant and the data can all be wrong. Nothing here is advice, and every bet you place is your own decision.
- Paid plans renew until you cancel. You can cancel any time, and in your first 14 days you can change your mind and get money back.
- Only ever stake what you can afford to lose. If betting stops being fun, our safer gambling page lists free, confidential help.
1. Who we are and what Football Hub is.
Football Hub is run by Matthew Burns and Keaton Thomas, based in the United Kingdom and trading as Football Hub ("we", "us"). Our address is PR5 6FZ, United Kingdom, and you can email us at info@football-hub.co.uk. These terms cover the website at football-hub.co.uk, the app at app.football-hub.co.uk, the Football Hub iPhone app and the Football Hub menu bar app for Mac (together, "Football Hub").
Football Hub is a football research tool. It gathers data on football leagues, cups and international competitions, runs its own statistical model over it, which we call the analyst, and shows the analyst's estimates alongside the prices bookmakers publish. It is for information and interest only. It is not a betting service: it does not take bets, it does not hold or move money, and it is not licensed by the Gambling Commission, because it offers no gambling. It is not connected to, sponsored by or endorsed by any league, club, player or bookmaker, and no bookmaker pays us to show its prices. Any bookmaker you use is a separate business with its own terms, and we are not responsible for it.
2. Agreeing to these terms.
You accept these terms when you tick the box in the app, which you do before you can use it, and by using the website you agree to the parts that apply to it. If you do not agree, please do not use Football Hub. These terms, together with our privacy policy and the plan and price shown when you buy, are the whole agreement between you and us.
3. You must be 18 or over.
Football Hub is only for people aged 18 or over. We ask for your date of birth when you join, and it must be your real one. We do not let anyone younger join, we may ask you to prove your age, and we will close any account we believe belongs to someone under 18. You also confirm that betting is lawful for you where you live. Knowing and following the law that applies to you is your responsibility.
4. Your account.
Give us accurate details and keep your email address up to date, because that is where your sign-in codes and receipts go. An account is for one person: do not share it or let anyone else use it. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account, because you are responsible for what is done through it. The same goes for any API key you create: it acts as your account, so keep it private and revoke it in Settings if you think someone else has seen it.
5. Plans, payment and Hub Credits.
Football Hub has a free plan and paid plans. The free plan opens part of the app; every paid plan opens all of it, and the paid plans differ only in how many Hub Credits they include. Paid plans are paid in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings › Membership: that stops the next renewal, and your plan carries on to the end of the period you have paid for. If a plan starts with a free period, it becomes a paid plan when that period ends unless you cancel before then.
Stripe sells our plans and Hub Credits to you, through its Link checkout, as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, accounts for any VAT and sends your receipts, and its own terms cover the payment itself. We are not registered for VAT, and the price you see is the full price you pay. We provide Football Hub itself and are responsible for it under these terms. If a payment fails, we may pause the paid parts of the app until it is made. If you dispute a payment with your bank while carrying on using a paid plan, we may suspend the account until the dispute is settled, so please talk to us first.
Hub Credits are what the AI assistant uses. A plan's monthly allowance resets on the 1st of each month and does not roll over. Credits bought as a top-up do not expire, and are used only once the allowance has run out. What an answer uses depends on the work it takes, and every answer shows what it used. We may change how many credits answers use, or how many a plan includes, and we will tell you before a change that gives your plan less. To keep The Analyst and the API working for everyone, we may limit how much any one account uses them in a short time.
Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or transferred, and apart from the refunds in sections 8 and 21 they are not refunded. If you delete your account, your plan, its allowance and any credits you bought end with it.
6. Changes to prices and plans.
We may change our prices. If the price of your paid plan is going up, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, which is from your next renewal after that. If you do not want to pay it, cancel before then. We may also change what the plans include. If we take something significant away from a paid plan you are on, we will tell you first, and you can cancel and have back what you paid for the time left.
7. Offers and discounts.
From time to time we offer discounts, such as a lower price for a few months, a promotion code at checkout or a sale on Hub Credits. Each offer says what it gives and for how long, and when it ends your plan goes back to its normal price. Unless an offer says otherwise, it is one per member, cannot be combined with another offer and has no cash value. We can end an offer at any time, but not for anyone who has already taken it up.
8. Your right to cancel.
If you live in the UK and buy as a consumer, you can change your mind within 14 days of buying a paid plan. Because the plan starts as soon as you buy it, at your request, we refund what you paid less a fair amount for the days you had it. For a top-up of Hub Credits, within 14 days of buying it we refund the credits you have not used. Credits you have used cannot be refunded.
To cancel, email info@football-hub.co.uk from the address on your account and tell us what you bought, or fill in our cancellation form and email it to us. We arrange the refund through Stripe, to the card you paid with, within 14 days of hearing from you. The 14 days apply to your first purchase of a plan, not to its renewals: after that, cancelling stops the next renewal and the part of the period already paid for is not refunded, unless we are at fault or the law says otherwise.
9. The analyst can be wrong.
Every probability, rating, expected goals figure, edge, value flag and suggested stake in Football Hub comes from a statistical model, which we call the analyst. Models are simplifications and they are often wrong. Football is genuinely unpredictable: a deflection, a red card, a goalkeeping error, a rested side or a new manager can overturn any projection. A high probability is not a certainty, and a positive edge is not free money. How the analyst has done in the past, including any record shown in the app, is no guide to how it will do in future.
10. The data can be wrong.
Results, tables, team sheets, injuries, suspensions, transfers, player statistics and bookmaker prices come from third-party data feeds and public news sources. They can be late, incomplete, out of date or simply wrong, and they can change after you have read them. We do not check them independently and we do not promise that anything shown is accurate, current or complete. Prices are indicative only and will differ from what a bookmaker actually offers you. Always check the official source and the bookmaker's own site before you act.
11. Live scores and alerts.
Live scores, match events, team sheets, in-play prices and the alerts we send about the matches you follow come from data feeds and can arrive late, out of order or not at all. Notifications also depend on your phone or computer and on services we do not control. Never rely on them to bet in play: check the bookmaker's own live information before you act.
12. The AI assistant.
The assistant in the app, The Analyst, is an artificial intelligence system supplied by a third party. It can misread the data, miss something important, or say something confidently that is simply untrue. It also reads public news headlines, which can be rumour, speculation or wrong. Treat what it says as a starting point for your own thinking, never as fact and never as advice. Its answers are for your own use: do not publish or share them as fact, especially anything they say about a real player, manager, referee or club.
13. Nothing here is advice.
Nothing in Football Hub is betting advice, a tip or a recommendation, or financial, investment, legal or tax advice. We are not authorised to give advice and we do not give it. Every decision you take, and every bet you place, is yours alone, and so is every consequence of it, including any money you lose.
14. My Ledger is only a record.
My Ledger is a private notebook. Recording a selection in it places no bet, sends nothing to any bookmaker and moves no money. If you want a bet placed, you place it yourself with a licensed bookmaker. Its figures, profit and strike rate included, are worked out from the selections you record, not from money staked.
15. Gamble responsibly.
Betting carries a real risk of losing money and can become addictive. Only ever stake what you can comfortably afford to lose. Never chase losses, never borrow to bet and never bet to solve a money problem. Set a limit before you start and keep to it. Betting should stay entertainment; if it stops being that, stop.
If gambling is harming you or someone close to you, the National Gambling Helpline, run by GamCare, is free, confidential and open 24 hours on 0808 8020 133. GAMSTOP at gamstop.co.uk blocks you from every gambling site licensed in Great Britain at once, and your bookmaker can set deposit limits or exclude you. Our safer gambling page has more.
16. Using Football Hub fairly.
Use Football Hub only for your own lawful, personal research. Please do not:
- copy, scrape, resell, republish or share its data or anything it produces, or reach it by automated means other than your own API keys;
- use any of it to train or feed an AI model, or to build a product that competes with Football Hub;
- copy, decompile or reverse engineer the apps, except where the law allows it;
- frame Football Hub inside another site, pass it off as your own, or remove any notice of who owns it;
- try to get into any part of it you have not been given, test its security, or interfere with how it runs;
- use it to give betting tips or advice to anyone else, or to break the law or any bookmaker's terms;
- put anything unlawful, abusive or harmful into the AI assistant, your notes or a bug report, or try to make the assistant do so.
17. Availability.
We work to keep Football Hub running and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be available, or free of errors, bugs or viruses, so keep your own devices and software protected. Data feeds fail, matches go unreported, and sometimes we need to take it down to fix or improve it. We may change, add or withdraw features. If we ever close Football Hub altogether, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund what you have paid for any time left on a paid plan.
18. Who owns what.
While you keep to these terms, we give you a personal right to use Football Hub, including the iPhone and Mac apps, for your own research. It cannot be passed to anyone else, and it ends when your account does.
Football Hub, its design, its code, its databases and the analyst's output belong to us or to the people we license them from, and are protected by copyright and database right. The name Football Hub and our logo are our marks. Football data, club crests, player photos and bookmakers' names belong to their owners and appear only to identify them. Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of any of it. What you put in, such as your notes, watchlists and questions, stays yours; you let us store and use it only to run Football Hub for you, as our privacy policy describes.
19. Your information.
Our privacy policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and your rights over it, and our cookies page lists every cookie we use. By accepting these terms you confirm you have read the privacy policy. In short: we keep the details you give us, including your date of birth, the notes, watchlists and My Ledger entries you create, a record of how you use the app, and your questions to the AI assistant. Your questions are sent to a third-party AI provider to be answered. Stripe takes payments and holds your card details. You can delete your account yourself in Settings › Profile, and ask us for a copy of your information or to correct or delete it.
20. Our responsibility to you.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not take away, including that we provide Football Hub with reasonable care and skill. Citizens Advice can tell you more about them. Beyond those rights, Football Hub is provided as it is and as available, and we make no other promise about it.
We are not responsible for:
- any bet you place or do not place, money you lose betting, or any other decision you make using anything in Football Hub;
- loss caused by the analyst, the AI assistant or the data being wrong, late or missing, which sections 9 to 12 warn you can happen, unless it was caused by our failing to use reasonable care and skill;
- loss we could not have foreseen, or loss to a business, because Football Hub is for personal use;
- delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Otherwise, our total responsibility to you for anything arising from Football Hub is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it happened. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
21. Suspending or closing an account.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Profile › Delete Account. That cancels any plan straight away, without a refund apart from those in section 8.
We may suspend or close an account if we believe its holder is under 18, has broken these terms or the law, has misused Football Hub or put other members or us at risk, or has not paid. We will tell you why unless the law or a security reason stops us. If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund what you paid for any time left on your plan and any bought credits you have not used. If you break these terms and that causes us loss, for example a claim from someone else, you are responsible for it.
22. Changes to these terms.
We may change these terms, for example when Football Hub changes or the law does. The version and date are at the top and the foot of this page. If a change matters, the app asks you to read and accept the new version before you carry on using it. If you do not want to, you can delete your account, and we will refund what you paid for any time left on a paid plan.
23. Complaints.
If something has gone wrong, please email info@football-hub.co.uk and tell us what happened. We will reply within 14 days and do our best to put it right. If we cannot agree, Citizens Advice can tell you what you can do next.
24. Everything else.
If a court decides part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not insist on something straight away, we can still insist on it later. We may pass this agreement to someone who takes over Football Hub, and we will tell you if we do; if you are unhappy with that, you can delete your account and we will refund what you paid for any time left. You may not pass your account or this agreement to anyone else. Nobody else has any right to enforce these terms.
25. Notices.
We will contact you by email at the address on your account, or in the app, and anything we send that way counts as being in writing. You can write to us at info@football-hub.co.uk, or by post at our address, PR5 6FZ, United Kingdom.
26. Which law applies.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in the courts there.
27. Contact us.
Questions about these terms, your account or your information can go to info@football-hub.co.uk or through our contact page. Our address is PR5 6FZ, United Kingdom.
